Live At Leeds is back again this year and is proudly celebrating its 10th anniversary with a huge line up full of established and up-and-coming acts.

 Live At Leeds, the award winning metropolitan festival, will take place this year on Saturday 30th April in a variety of venues across Leeds. The festival is an opportunity for fans to see new emerging artists as well as more established acts in different locations across Leeds, all in one jam-packed day!

With the festival celebrating its 10th anniversary, a huge accolade for such a small music event, the line up this year is bigger and better than ever before. With a variety of artists from across the country making their way to the lively city of Leeds, fans will be treated to some spectacular performances throughout the day.

With a line up boasting over 150 acts, the decision of who to see will be a tough one. To help you decide which artists not to miss, we thought we’d let you in on our top picks.

Blossoms

The indie-pop band from Stockport will be making a return to Live At Leeds this year. After a successful performance at the festival last year, this five-piece are a band not to miss. The band has had a successful year so far, having come 4th in the BBC’s Sound of 2016 Longlist and performing in the Radio 1 Live Lounge. Blossoms are an upcoming band not to be missed, so make sure you check them out.

Rat Boy

 20 year-old British musician Rat Boy has stormed onto the scene this year. Having been nominated ‘Best New Act’ in the BBC Sound of 2016 and winning ‘Best New Act’ at the NME Awards earlier this year, the Essex-born musician is beginning to make a name for himself. His latest single ‘Move’ has proved popular, particularly with industry experts, having recently been put on the Radio 1 Playlist. He is an exciting new artist and his debut performance at Live At Leeds is sure to go down well.

VITAMIN

Live At Leeds will be a homecoming gig for this indie-pop/rock four-piece. Having played the festival last year, VITAMIN are back again to perform in the city where they grew up. Having had a residency at the Brudenell Social Club at the end of last year, the band are no doubt unfamiliar to the many venues in Leeds. Having originally been recognised by BBC Introducing and with their latest single ‘This Isn’t Love’ being recently played on Radio 1, VITAMIN are no doubt set for big things this year. Make sure you catch them on their way up.

Izzy Bizu

London based singer/songwriter Izzy Bizu has had a successful year having come 3rd in the Brit’s Critics’ Choice Award and shortlisted in the BBC’s Sound of 2016 poll. Back in November last year, she visited the University of Huddersfield as part of the Coffee House Sessions tour and gave the students a fantastic performance. Don’t miss her at Live At Leeds this year, as she’s sure to pull in a big crowd.

Jess Glynne

Headlining this year’s festival is Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter Jess Glynne. As one of the most well known and established acts on this years line up, Glynne’s performance is a real coo for the festival and all her fans. With five number one songs under her belt, her performance is sure to be filled with hit after hit (as well as a lot of singing from the crowd!) Make sure you get down there nice and early as her performance is sure to a popular one!
